1. Agreement. By creating an account, buying a plan, or using CapitalSnitch (including through an AI assistant acting for you), you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy. When you sign up or pay, we record your agreement with the Terms version, date and time, IP address and device or app. If you sign up through an AI assistant, you confirm you reviewed these key terms with it and told it you agree; your email is verified with a one-time code.
2. The service. CapitalSnitch provides public-record data (SEC filings such as insider trades, institutional 13F holdings, financial statements and stock offerings; and public financial disclosure reports of members of Congress) and market context (for example earnings dates, volatility measures, analyst-rating summaries and Fed-meeting market odds) through AI tools, an API and this website. Data comes from government and third-party sources and may contain errors, delays or omissions.
3. Not investment advice. Nothing provided by CapitalSnitch is financial, investment, legal or tax advice or a recommendation to buy or sell any security. You are solely responsible for your decisions.
4. Free plan and trial. The Free plan lets you use CapitalSnitch at no cost for as long as you like, so you can evaluate it before paying. There is no separate paid trial.
5. Payments. Prices are shown in U.S. dollars before you pay. Card payments are processed by Square; crypto payments are sent directly to CapitalSnitch's wallet and are final once confirmed on the blockchain.
6. Delivery and use. Your plan is delivered the moment your payment is confirmed: your account and connection address immediately receive the plan's features and limits. Access to the service - through your connection address, the API or the website - counts as use of the service.
7. All sales final - no refunds. Because you can try the Free plan first and the service is digital and delivered immediately, all payments are non-refundable, including for partially used or unused periods, plan downgrades or cancellation, except where applicable law requires a refund. Refunds, if any, are made solely at CapitalSnitch's discretion by the account owner of CapitalSnitch.
8. Monthly card plans (automatic renewal). Monthly plans paid by card renew automatically each month at the then-current price, charged to the payment method on file, until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from your account page or by asking your AI assistant; cancellation stops future renewals and you keep access until the end of the current paid month. We email a confirmation of each purchase and of cancellation.
9. Yearly plans, wallet and crypto payments (no automatic renewal). Yearly plans (any payment method), payments made with Apple Pay, Google Pay or Cash App, and all crypto payments are one-time purchases for the period shown. They do not renew automatically. Before the period ends we send reminders; you keep the plan only if you choose to buy again.
10. Plan changes. Upgrades take effect immediately. For prepaid time, unused days are converted to the new plan at their dollar value. Downgrades of card subscriptions take effect at the next renewal.
11. Payment disputes. If you have a problem with a charge, please contact support@capitalsnitch.com first - most issues are solved within one business day. If you dispute a charge with your bank, we may share your account records (agreement records, sign-ins, usage and payment history) with the payment processor and your bank to respond, and the account may be suspended while the dispute is open.
12. Accounts and connection addresses. Your connection address works like a password. Keep it private; you are responsible for use through it. You can replace it at any time. Plans are for one person; no reselling or bulk redistribution without a written agreement.
13. Limits and fair use. Each plan includes the daily number of questions shown on the pricing page. Automated bulk extraction, attempts to bypass limits or misuse may be rate limited or suspended.
14. Third-party data. Earnings dates, analyst ratings, prices and prediction-market odds come from third parties, may be delayed or wrong, and are provided for information only.
14a. Congress disclosure data (free public information). Stock transactions reported by members of the U.S. House and Senate under the Ethics in Government Act and the STOCK Act are published by CapitalSnitch free of charge to the general public, as news and public information, with a link to each official filing. Access to this data is never sold or limited to paid plans. Federal law (5 U.S.C. app. 105(c), now 5 U.S.C. 13107) makes it unlawful to obtain or use these reports for any unlawful purpose; for any commercial purpose other than by news and communications media for dissemination to the general public; to determine or establish the credit rating of any individual; or for use, directly or indirectly, in the solicitation of money for any political, charitable or other purpose. By using this data through CapitalSnitch you agree not to use it for any of those purposes, including credit evaluation, loan underwriting, direct-mail or other solicitation, political fundraising or commercial targeting of any person, and not to copy or redistribute it in bulk. CapitalSnitch does not sell bulk downloads of this data. The official records are the House Clerk's financial disclosure database (disclosures-clerk.house.gov) and the Senate's financial disclosure portal (efdsearch.senate.gov). Reports are filed up to 45 days (sometimes later) after a trade, amounts are reported only as ranges, and filings may contain errors; always check the official filing.
14b. Automated analysis and scores. Signal scores, conviction scores, batch flags, dilution-risk scores, written bull and bear cases and similar summaries are produced automatically from the data by rules and software. They can be incomplete or wrong, are not reviewed by a person for each company, and are not investment advice or a recommendation.
15. Availability and liability. The service is provided "as is" without warranties. To the maximum extent permitted by law, CapitalSnitch's total liability is limited to the amount you paid in the 3 months before the claim, and CapitalSnitch is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including trading losses.
16. Changes. We may update the service, prices or these Terms. Material changes are posted here with a new version date; price changes apply from your next purchase or renewal.
Have these Terms reviewed by a lawyer for your situation before relying on them.
